BAKU (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 08th December, 2018) Azerbaijan will reduce oil production under the new OPEC-non-OPEC agreement by 20,000 barrels per day to 763,000 bpd, Zamina Aliyeva, a spokeswoman for country's Energy Ministry, said Friday.
Participants of the OPEC-non-OPEC oil production cut deal agreed during a meting in Vienna earlier in the day to reduce overall oil production by 1.2 million barrels per day.
"The Republic of Azerbaijan, whose daily production in October amounted to 783,000 barrels per day, assumed the obligation to reduce oil production by 20,000 barrels. Therefore, starting next year, Azerbaijan's oil production should remain at 763,000 barrels per day," Aliyeva said .
