Russian Ferrous Metals Exports Up 11.4% Year-on-Year in January-October - Customs

Russian exports of ferrous metals increased by 11.4 percent year-on-year to 38.435 million tonnes in January-October, the Federal Customs Service said Friday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th December, 2018) Russian exports of ferrous metals increased by 11.4 percent year-on-year to 38.435 million tonnes in January-October, the Federal Customs Service said Friday.

Exports of cast iron went up by 28.9 percent year-on-year to 4.626 million tonnes in the given period, while exports of semi-finished or unalloyed steel rose by 12.1 percent to 13.145 million tonnes.

Revenues from ferrous metals exports increased by 29.8 percent year-on-year in the first 10 months to $19.511 billion.

Russian exports of raw aluminum increased 5.4 percent year-on-year in January-October to 2.521 million tonnes, while proceeds went up 13.4 percent to $4.416 billion, the customs service said.

Exports of refined copper and copper alloys totaled 544,000 tonnes, up 16.1 percent from the same period last year.

Exports of Primary nickel fell 4.6 percent year-on-year to 109,200 tonnes in January-October, but proceeds from its sales surged 28.4 percent to $1.45 billion, data showed.
