Islamabad, (Pakistan Point News - 07th December, 2018) According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 49% Pakistanis think that the abolishment of interest based lending will improve economic situation in the country; 26% believe that this action will further deteriorate the financial situation. A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion would the economic condition improve in the country if the system of interest is abolished from Pakistan?” In response to this question, 49% said it will improve, 26% said it will deteriorate, 22% said no change while 3% did not know or respond to the question.
