External shocks for the Russian economy remain, oil prices are unpredictable and volatile, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Thursday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th December, 2018) External shocks for the Russian economy remain, oil prices are unpredictable and volatile, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Thursday.

"I cannot but also note the fact that we, in fact, continue to create a margin of safety so that our economy is protected against external shocks, and these shocks persist," Medvedev said in an interview with Russian television channels.

He said oil prices were volatile.

"They are largely unpredictable, despite the fact that consultations are now underway within OPEC-non-OPEC," Medvedev said.
