Spacewalk to Inspect Hole in Soyuz Hull to Last 6 Hours - Roscosmos Institute

Russian cosmonauts on board the International Space Station (ISS) Oleg Kononenko and Sergei Prokopyev will carry out a six-hour spacewalk next week to inspect a tiny hole in the hull of the Soyuz spacecraft docked with the ISS, the Central Scientific Research Institute for Machine Building (TsNIIMash), a subsidiary of Roscosmos, said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th December, 2018) Russian cosmonauts on board the International Space Station (ISS) Oleg Kononenko and Sergei Prokopyev will carry out a six-hour spacewalk next week to inspect a tiny hole in the hull of the Soyuz spacecraft docked with the ISS, the Central Scientific Research Institute for Machine Building (TsNIIMash), a subsidiary of Roscosmos, said Wednesday.

"The spacewalk will begin at 19:05 Moscow time [16:05 GMT] on December 11. The end of spacewalk is expected at 01:15 Moscow time on December 12," TsNIIMash press service said in a statement.

The spacewalk was originally planned for November 15, but it was canceled due to the launch incident with the Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft on October 11.
