The local Taliban leader, Abdul Qayoum alias Rouhani, and five other militants were killed in a drone strike on Monday while trying to cross the Pakistani border, according to the Khaama Press news agency.

The militant group has not yet commented on the situation, according to the news agency.

Afghanistan has long been suffering from an unstable political, social and security situation due to the activity of various terrorist and radical groups.
