TEL AVIV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th December, 2018) The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have found and neutralized the first Hezbollah movement's tunnel, allegedly dug for covertly transporting Hezbollah militants to Israel, within the Northern Shield operation, the IDF said in a statement on Tuesday.
"EXPOSED: A Hezbollah attack tunnel dug from southern Kafr Kela in Lebanon into Israeli territory with the intention of harming Israeli civilians. We found and neutralized it. #NorthernShield," the statement read.
Earlier in the day, IDF spokesman Jonathan Conricus announced that the IDF was launching the Northern Shield operation at the Israeli-Lebanese border in order to find and destroy cross-border tunnels of the Hezbollah movement.
