LHC moved against demolition of Governor House’s walls  

The petitioner adopted that Governor House is a historical heritage and demolishing the walls of a historic heritage is illegal.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 3rd December, 2018) The Punjab government’s decision to bring down the walls of Governor House Punjab has been challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC).

According to details, a petition seeking to halt the demolition of the walls of Punjab Governor House with immediate effect was filed in the LHC on Monday.

The petitioner adopted that Governor House is a historical heritage and demolishing the walls of a historic heritage is illegal.

The process of demolishing the walls of the Governor House started on Sunday upon the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In the first phase, the boundary wall from the Mall Road side to Alhamra will be demolished. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar himself monitored the demolition process.
