German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin have discussed the situation in Syria, and the Russian-Ukrainian relations in light of the recent Kerch Strait incident, the press service of the German Cabinet said in a statement on Saturday.
BERLIN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 01st December, 2018) German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin have discussed the situation in Syria, and the Russian-Ukrainian relations in light of the recent Kerch Strait incident, the press service of the German Cabinet said in a statement on Saturday.Earlier in the day, Putin and Merkel had a working breakfast on the sidelines of the G20 summit, which is currently underway in Argentina.
"In the beginning of the second day of the G20 summit, Chancellor Merkel held negotiations with Russian President Putin. The situation in Syria, as well as the Russian-Ukrainian incident in the Kerch Strait, and the situation in the Sea of Azov were the key issues," the statement, posted on Twitter, read.
