BEIJING (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 29th November, 2018) It will be difficult for Moscow and Beijing to achieve the new level of cooperation in energy without large-scale mutual investment, Igor Sechin, the CEO of Russia's energy giant Rosneft, said on Thursday.
"It will be difficult for us to move to a new level of energy cooperation without large-scale mutual investment," Sechin said at the Russian-Chinese energy business forum.
The Rosneft CEO continued by suggesting that Russia and China needed new pillars and infrastructure channels for cooperation in the area of energy.
Sechin also called for stepping up cooperation between Russian and Chinese banks.
"Russia and China need mutual confidence in the interest in and the mutually beneficial character of the new large-scale projects in energy and related areas," the official suggested.
