Members of the Islamic State terrorist group (IS, ISIS, banned in Russia), who were preparing terrorist acts and recruiting militants for the war in Syria, were sentenced in Moscow to long terms in prison, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) department for Moscow and the Moscow region said Wednesday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th November, 2018) Members of the Islamic State terrorist group (IS, ISIS, banned in Russia), who were preparing terrorist acts and recruiting militants for the war in Syria, were sentenced in Moscow to long terms in prison, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) department for Moscow and the Moscow region said Wednesday.The FSB said it stopped the activity of an IS cell, whose members financed, recruited citizens and sent them to Syria to take part in hostilities, and also prepared acts of terrorism in the Moscow region. The criminal group was led by a Tajik national in Turkey.
