Putin Says 'Not Going Anywhere Yet' When Asked About Russia's Future After His Departure

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday he was "not going anywhere yet," when asked about the future of Russia after his departure

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th November, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday he was "not going anywhere yet," when asked about the future of Russia after his departure.

"Why are you in such a hurry? I am not going anywhere yet," Putin said at Russia Calling Investment Forum.

The president added he was certain that Russia would keep changing for the better after he leaves politics.

"We have a whole range of national projects, I hope they will be implemented to a smaller or a larger degree, but this is an ambitious large-scale goal. If we pursue it confidently, the country will keep changing for the better," Putin said.

The president stressed that Russia, while "feeling confident and self-sufficient," was open to cooperation with all partners, including the United States.

"I hope the realization of that will come someday and the need to solve common issues and problems will lead us to effective joint work," Putin said.
