Ceasefire Breaches Recorded In Syria's Hama, Latakia Provinces - Russian Military

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th November, 2018) The Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria said Monday that over the past 24 hours it registered ceasefire breaches in Syria's provinces of Hama and Latakia.

"Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, there are still cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed formations in the Idlib de-escalation zone. Over the past day they attacked Mahardah in Hama province, Ikko, Arafit, Kiljok and Janajik in Latakia province," head of the center Lt. Gen. Sergei Solomatin said.

The center also held one humanitarian delivery in the Aleppo province, delivering 80 sets of warm clothing and one tonne of bread to the citizens of the Karalak settlement.

Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and militant and terrorist organizations. Russia, along with Turkey and Iran, is a guarantor of the ceasefire regime in Syria. Moscow has also been providing humanitarian aid to residents of the crisis-torn country.
