Chemical Attack on Aleppo Civilians Must Not Remain Unpunished - Russian Foreign Ministry

A chemical attack by militants of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group (banned in Russia) on civilians in Syria's Aleppo on November 24 must not remain unpunished, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Monday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th November, 2018) A chemical attack by militants of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group (banned in Russia) on civilians in Syria's Aleppo on November 24 must not remain unpunished, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Monday.

"No doubt, the barbaric attack on Aleppo's civilians deserves unconditional condemnation and should not go unpunished. We expect that the international community, which has repeatedly declared its categorical rejection of the use of chemical weapons in Syria, will properly respond to the attack," the ministry said.

"Moscow strongly condemns this attack by terrorists on Aleppo's civilians," it said.

The ministry said Syria had called on international organizations to take steps to investigate the incident in Aleppo and send experts to the incident scene.
