US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie spoke by phone about President Donald Trump's trip to Buenos Aires at the end of the month for the G20 Summit, the State Department said in a press release on Friday.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 16th November, 2018) US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie spoke by phone about President Donald Trump's trip to Buenos Aires at the end of the month for the G20 Summit, the State Department said in a press release on Friday."Secretary Michael R. Pompeo spoke by phone on November 15 with Argentine Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie about President Trump's upcoming visit to Argentina for the G-20 Leaders' Summit," the release said.
The two top diplomats also discussed cooperation in advancing shared priorities of the United States and Argentina, the release added.
Pompeo congratulated Argentina on its leadership as host of the upcoming G20 summit and told Faurie he looks forward to a successful Leaders' Summit, the release added.
The G20 Summit is scheduled to take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina November 30 - December 1. Trump is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the summit.
