WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 08th November, 2018) The White House suspended CNN correspondent Jim Acosta's press credentials for allegedly putting his hands on an intern who was trying to take a microphone away from him during a press briefing, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a press release.
Earlier in the day at a White House press conference, Acosta got in a long heated exchange with US President Donald Trump over his rhetoric that a migrant caravan currently passing through Mexico is an invasion. As a White House aide made several attempts to take away the microphone from Acosta, their arms became entangled appearing as though the reporter pushed her arm out of the way.
"We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a White House intern," Sanders said on Wednesday. "As a result of today's incident, the White House is suspending the hard pass of the reporter involved until further notice."
