H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President's Representative, today witnessed the launch of the Seih Al Shatt Camel Race' at the Sweihan Camel Race Track, which is being held under his patronage and support and was organised by the Camel Racing Federation.
ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2018) H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President's Representative, today witnessed the launch of the Seih Al Shatt Camel Race' at the Sweihan Camel Race Track, which is being held under his patronage and support and was organised by the Camel Racing Federation.
Major awards are allocated to the leading camels in each race, from the first position to the tenth position of each round.
Sheikh Sultan earlier inspected the racing track and assessed the race’s organisation and the services provided to the participants and audience. He also highlighted the necessity of removing obstacles at the track, to ensure that the event is safe for the camels while highlighting their place in the hearts of the UAE people and the support of the wise leadership for them, as a major cornerstone of the country’s ancient heritage.
During his tour, Sheikh Sultan met with several participants and members of the event’s organising committee while highlighting the necessity for all competitors to commit to the rules of the race, which will benefit everyone and help establish the heritage sport of camel racing that was closely connected to the lives of the fathers and grandfathers and is part of the UAE’s culture and national identity.
The race aims to support camel owners, motivate them to care for the sport of camel racing and encourage them to produce and own the best breeds of camels.
