The Hill reported that Jordan, who won his re-election bid on Tuesday, slammed his party's current leadership in the House for not being willing to engage in debate with Democrats.
He added that by engaging with Democrats and fighting hard for the principles of the American people, Republicans have an opportunity to show voters that they deserve to be back in power in 2020.
Earlier in the year, Jordan announced his intention to succeed House Speaker Paul Ryan after the congressman from Wisconsin announced that he would not seek re-election.
According to the Hill, Jordan, who co-founded the conservative House Freedom Caucus, is one of President Donald Trump's staunchest allies on Capitol Hill.
