The Social, Labour, Population and Human Resources Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, FNC, reviewed the services provided to people of determination (persons with disabilities) by the Fujairah Rehabilitation Centre for the Disabled, as part of its plan to discuss the related policy of the Ministry of Community Development.
FUJAIRAH, (Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2018) The Social, Labour, Population and Human Resources Affairs Committee of the Federal National Council, FNC, reviewed the services provided to people of determination (persons with disabilities) by the Fujairah Rehabilitation Centre for the Disabled, as part of its plan to discuss the related policy of the Ministry of Community Development.
The committee members that visited the centre included Hamad Ahmed Al Rahoumi, Chairman of the Committee, and committee members Saeed Saleh Al Rumaithi and Salem Ali Al Shehhi, as well as Ahmed Mohammed Al Hamoudi, Member of the FNC.
During the visit, Al Rahoumi highlighted the committee’s keenness to closely monitor the services provided to People of Determination and added that the committee assessed the centre’s services and relevant workshops, visited its autism classes, and was briefed about the educational curriculum for those with autism.
The committee is discussing the policy of the ministry and the services it provides to People of Determination through three pillars, which are the legislation related to protecting their rights; providing health, educational, economic, social and entertainment services; and the ministry’s role in empowering this segment of the community in federal and local labour markets.
