Russia, Cuba Condemn Unilateral Sanctions as Destabilizing Factors - Leaders' Statement

Russia and Cuba view the use of unilateral sanctions and unfounded accusations, as well as refusal to fulfill commitments under existing international agreements and treaties as destabilizing factors on the global arena, according to the joint statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 02nd November, 2018) Russia and Cuba view the use of unilateral sanctions and unfounded accusations, as well as refusal to fulfill commitments under existing international agreements and treaties as destabilizing factors on the global arena, according to the joint statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.

"The parties noted that in existing international conditions characterized by deepening contradictions in the military-political, economic, financial, technological, informational and other areas, the use by individual states of unilateral coercive measures contrary to international law, the voicing of unfounded accusations and the refusal to meet international legal obligations are becoming a destabilizing factor and an obstacle to the normal development of nations," the statement following Russian-Cuban talks in Moscow on Friday reads.
