MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 02nd November, 2018) Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Secretary General Thomas Greminger will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on Friday.
Greminger, who arrived in Russia on Thursday, is set to discuss promotion of cooperation between the OSCE and Russia, considering the upcoming session of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Milan in December.
The sides will also touch upon Russia's plans to present its proposals on counterterrorism, fight with drug trafficking and on securing the rights of citizens to learn languages, among other issues.
The previous meeting between Greminger and Lavrov took place on September 26 in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The parties discussed the situation in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donbas, particularly, implementation of the Minsk ceasefire agreements, as well as preparations for the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council that will be held in the Italian city of Milan on December 6-7.
