MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st October, 2018) The Russian military is monitoring the situation around the preparation of toxic agents provocations by militants in Syria, Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov, the spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, said on Wednesday.
He said that residents of the Syrian province of Aleppo reported that militants were preparing to stage another provocation with the use of toxic agents.
"Russian military specialists are closely monitoring the situation. For this purpose, six special radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance vehicles have been transferred to the Russian posts located in the immediate vicinity of the demilitarized zone in the Idlib province, and deployed there," Konashenkov said.
He added that these vehicles would assess the radiation, chemical and biological situation regularly.
