ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 31st Oct, 2018) Michele Alliot-Marie, Member of the European Parliament and Chairperson of the Arab Peninsula Committee of the European Parliament, DARP, accompanied by Dr. Saeed Al Mutawa, Member of the Federal National Council, has visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, as part of her visit to the country.
Alliot-Marie and her accompanying delegation were shown around the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed and briefed by Dr. Yousif Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, on the unique leadership qualities embodied by the nation's Founding Father. They were also briefed on the Islamic architecture and the history of the edifice which plays an important role in promoting intercultural communication and enhancing the culture of tolerance and peaceful co-existence among peoples across the world.
At the end of the visit, Alliot-Marie was presented with a copy of the book, 'Spaces of Light', published by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre.
