Kazakhstan Not Planning to Claim Compensation From Russia Over Soyuz Crash - Minister

Kazakhstan will not submit any compensation claims in relation to the recent failed launch of the Russian Soyuz spacecraft, Kazakh Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry Beibut Atamkulov said Wednesday.

ASTANA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st October, 2018) Kazakhstan will not submit any compensation claims in relation to the recent failed launch of the Russian Soyuz spacecraft, Kazakh Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry Beibut Atamkulov said Wednesday.

"We will not lodge any damage claims... This is a purely technical issue of [Russian space agency] Roscosmos. They will inform us officially [about the causes of the incident]. Provisionally, it was an emergency situation with the side stage of the rocket detaching," the minister told reporters.
