RIYADH (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th October, 2018) Russia's ALROSA diamond mining company will increase the volume of diamonds sales in national currencies, while also trying to sell diamonds via Antwerp in Euros instead of dollars, ALROSA CEO Sergey Ivanov told Sputnik.
"We will increase the volume of sales in national currencies for China and India, but not significantly. There is a number of clients who want to try it," Ivanov said.
He added that the company did not expect any restrictions on its Currency payments, and that its move was not related to any concerns over sanctions.
"We have many sales to Antwerp, and we would like to communicate with a number of clients. As I recall our previous talks, I believe that it is not a matter of principle if payments are conducted in Dollars or euros. For us, using euro may have sense in terms of transactions rapidity," Ivanov said.
