WETEX deals build partnership between Ireland and the UAE

Three Irish companies supported by Enterprise Ireland have announced the signing of three new deals at the 20th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2018).

DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 25th Oct, 2018) Three Irish companies supported by Enterprise Ireland have announced the signing of three new deals at the 20th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX 2018).

Aidan Cronin, Irish Ambassador to the UAE, said, "Ireland and the UAE have a long history of partnership and trading together. In the year celebrating Sheikh Zayed and his vision, it is our intention to strengthen the ties between the UAE and Dublin further. Ireland’s participation at WETEX is key part of our engagement with the UAE in the area of sustainable technologies and solutions, which will maintain a focus on the developing investment and trade opportunities of strategic importance for both of our countries."

Mike Hogan, Regional Manager MENA at Enterprise Ireland said: "These deals support Irish companies looking to the UAE and the Gulf as potential market for Irish solutions in renewable energy, smart Grid, waste, water management, and energy efficiency. ResourceKraft, Energy Services and Solar AdTek are Irish leaders in the sustainability sector. When we bring this together with Irelands ambition to develop long term and strategic partnerships in the UAE we see a lot of growth in this market."

Eamon Sikafi, Senior Market Advisor for Sustainable Solutions for Enterprise Ireland, provided more details of the trade deals covering the renewable, energy storage, monitoring and measuring were signed at the Enterprise Ireland booth.

"The announcements today include a new strategic partnership between Limerick based company and global software and hardware ResourceKraft and Al Sharif Group (ASG). The partnership is set to deliver energy management solutions to the middle East," he said.

"Another Irish company; Energy Services Ltd with offices in Cork and Dubai has been selected by Ras Al Khaimah Municipality to support on the implementation of ISO 50001.

"Capping off the deals is Solar AdTek signing a new Channel Partner Agreement with POWEREGION to bring innovative solar and lighting systems to the region," he added.

A total of eight Irish companies are exhibiting with Enterprise Ireland at WETEX 2018, which include Automsoft, Energy Services Ltd., Nulumentek, Oxymem, ResourceKraft, Solar AdTek, Suparule Systems and TechWorks Marine.
