Russia is expecting to harvest about 109 million metric tons of grain, and may export up to 39 million tonnes in 2018, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said Tuesday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd October, 2018) Russia is expecting to harvest about 109 million metric tons of grain, and may export up to 39 million tonnes in 2018, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said Tuesday.
"Taking into account the favorable weather conditions in the Siberian Federal District, we are ready to increase the forecast for the grain harvest this year to 109 million tons. At the same time, we can forecast the export volume at the level of 38-39 million tons," Patrushev told reporters.
The previous 2018 grain crop forecast by the ministry was 106 million tonnes.
