WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd October, 2018) Republicans will strip health insurance coverage for preexisting conditions if they hold control of Congress in next month's midterm elections, former US President Barack Obama told a rally for Democratic Senate candidate Jacky Rosen in Nevada.
"If Republicans keep Congress this fall you had better believe they are coming after Health Care again and millions of people who have it are not going not get it. Even Republicans and they don't realize it," Obama told the rally in Las Vegas on Monday.
Rosen is running less than two points behind Republican incumbent Dean Heller, according to the Real Clear politics polling index in a closely fought rare in a state that supported Democrat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, according to the most recent polls.
"You can bet on anything here in Vegas but you'd better not bet the Republicans are going to protect your health care," Obama told a cheering crowd. "They have no way of protecting preexisting conditions with anything they have proposed they are making it up."
Obama is campaigning for Democratic candidates across the United States. Groups outside Nevada have already channeled more than $40 million to the Republican and Democratic Senate campaigns in Nevada, the Center for Responsive Politics said.
