Russia's Finance Ministry, in draft amendments to the Russian budget for 2018, increased the surplus to 2 percent of GDP from 0.5 percent, First Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said Thursday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 18th October, 2018) Russia's Finance Ministry, in draft amendments to the Russian budget for 2018, increased the surplus to 2 percent of GDP from 0.5 percent, First Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said Thursday.

"The budget surplus will be higher than we planned. We planned 0.5 percent of GDP for the current year, we estimate [it to be] about 2 percent," Siluanov told reporters.
