During the upcoming visit to Uzbekistan, Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss with the Uzbek side the situation in Afghanistan and building cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Tuesday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 16th October, 2018) During the upcoming visit to Uzbekistan, Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss with the Uzbek side the situation in Afghanistan and building cooperation within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Tuesday.
"As for international issues, Afghanistan is the first topic. And the second topic is increasing cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization," Ushakov told reporters.
On Monday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Putin would pay a state visit to Uzbekistan later this week. According to the Uzbek side, Putin's visit is scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
