Ajman Center for Corporate Social Responsibility organises career day for people of determination

The Ajman Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, ACCSR, a subsidiary of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised an open career day for the people of determination in cooperation with the Manzil Centre and Emirates NBD, to offer jobs available in some institutions such as Du, the Humaid Foundation, Al Ihsan Society, Al Ansari Exchange, Ajman University, Gulf Craft, Fairmont Hotel-Ajman, Ajman Hotel, Bahi Hotel-Ajman and Landmark Group-Splash.

AJMAN, (Pakistan Point News - 13th Oct, 2018) The Ajman Center for Corporate Social Responsibility, ACCSR, a subsidiary of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised an open career day for the people of determination in cooperation with the Manzil Centre and Emirates NBD, to offer jobs available in some institutions such as Du, the Humaid Foundation, Al Ihsan Society, Al Ansari Exchange, Ajman University, Gulf Craft, Fairmont Hotel-Ajman, Ajman Hotel, Bahi Hotel-Ajman and Landmark Group-Splash.

Held at the Majestic Hall, Ramada Hotel, it was witnessed by Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Ajman Chamber, Nasser Al Dhafri, CEO of ACCSR and a number of private sector officials.

Commenting on the initiative, Al Dhafri stressed its importance and the role played by it in creating an umbrella that promotes job opportunities for people of determination in the private sector and public interest institutions. This is meant to utilise their abilities and provide social and financial stability for them, in addition to serving the diversity of cadres and skills of the manpower in the labour market, he added.

Ten institutions, which included companies, hotels, banks, and public interest groups, joined the initiative, to provide more than 22 jobs. It featured direct interviews between the exhibitors and job aspirants, reflecting the awareness of the participants and their support to the people of determination, Al Dhafri said.

He stated that the initiative will contribute to the creation of a database of job seekers that will enhance communications and provide future job opportunities in cooperation with various bodies. The ACCSR, within its sustainable objectives, seeks to provide job opportunities to people of determination in various sectors. The initiative also translates into a strategy of the emirate of Ajman, which is consistent with that of the UAE and embodies the directives of the wise leadership in providing a variety of job opportunities to this category.

The visitors to the career day reiterated the importance of the initiative and its role in providing a channel of communication between job seekers and employers. The initiative provides equal access to job opportunities and career advancement in various fields. They also urged the organisers to hold similar initiatives and activities that increase employment and training opportunities, as well as integrating people of determination in various sectors.

The ACCSR and Manzil Centre also signed an MoU to coordinate efforts aimed at rehabilitating people of determination and providing them with job opportunities. The agreement also seeks to utilise their creative abilities and integrate them into the labour market so they could be active members in the process of development. It further asks for the implementation of an awareness programme for officials and representatives of government and private bodies to recruit candidates in this category.
