ALMATY (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th October, 2018) Russian cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin and NASA astronaut Nick Hague decided themselves to disconnect the capsule from the rocket after a malfunction occurred, Vladimir Bekker, the chairman of the emergencies committee of the Kazakh Interior Ministry, said on Thursday.
"According to preliminary data, an anomaly occurred 12 seconds into the flight after the separation of the first stage, and the crew decided to separate the capsule with the astronauts from the spacecraft, and as a result, the capsule landed near the city of Jezkazgan," Bekker told a briefing.
