BEIRUT (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th October, 2018) Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said he expected the new cabinet of the middle Eastern country, which has seen troubles in setting up the government since May, to be formed within seven to 10 days.
"I believe that the government will be formed in a week or in 10 days maximum," Hariri said in an interview with the Lebanese MTV broadcaster.
The prime minister emphasized that the country's economy was no longer able to function without the government.
The Lebanese parties have been failing to form a coalition government since the May election.
The country is seeking to receive aid from foreign donors to improve its economy, which is facing one of the world's highest public debts.
In April, donors pledged to provide $11 billion to support Lebanon. The country's government should, in its turn, enact reforms in order to receive the funds.
