The Dutch Defense Ministry announced earlier in the day that the country's intelligence services had prevented Russia's cyberattack on the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). According to Dutch authorities four Russian citizens suspected of the involvement in the incident had been expelled from the Netherlands on April 13.
"We have repeatedly warned the Dutch side, including through diplomatic channels, that the anti-Russian spymania campaign launched in the country, accompanied by deliberate leaks in the media about the alleged cyber attacks, causes serious harm to bilateral relations," the ministry said in a statement.
