Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry categorically denied on Thursday the existence of laboratories controlled by another state in the country in response to Russia's allegations of the reconstruction of US-controlled research facilities in former Soviet republics.
BAKU (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th October, 2018) Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry categorically denied on Thursday the existence of laboratories controlled by another state in the country in response to Russia's allegations of the reconstruction of US-controlled research facilities in former Soviet republics.
"There are no laboratories controlled by any other state on the territory of Azerbaijan. Therefore, allegations of their reconstruction are false," the ministry's press service told Sputnik.
Maj. Gen. Igor Kirillov, the commander of the Russian Armed Forces' Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops, said earlier in the day that the United States was carrying out a large-scale biological warfare research using labs located in countries neighboring Russia, including Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
