Noura Al Kaabi visits ‘Active Forms for Group Sculpting’ exhibition in Sharjah

Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, visited an art exhibition organised by the Sharjah Museums Authority, titled, 'The Active Forms for Group Sculpting,' at the Sharjah Art Museum.

SHARJAH, (Pakistan Point News - 04th Oct, 2018) Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, visited an art exhibition organised by the Sharjah Museums Authority, titled, 'The Active Forms for Group Sculpting,' at the Sharjah Art Museum.

During her visit, Al Kaabi viewed a series of artworks created by artists Abdulnasser Gharem from Saudi Arabia and Heimo Zobernig from Austria, who are leading international artists in conceptual art. She also viewed other artworks, such as giant structures, movies and paintings.

Al Kaabi then met with Gharem, who presented a glimpse of his artistic style and explained the ideas that inspired his works at the exhibition, which express strong messages and diverse concepts.

Gharem, who has exhibited around the world, also spoke about his efforts to exhibit his works to a wide audience and introduce his conceptual artistic style even to children in his studio in Riyadh.

The exhibition’s visitors are able to view prominent artworks, which will reveal the world to them and motivate them to look into serious issues that affect their communities from a new and different perspective.

Manal Ataya, Director-General of the Sharjah Museums Authority, expressed her happiness at Al Kaabi’s visit to the exhibition, which highlights the authority’s role in supporting Arab artists and providing a cultural and artistic platform for showcasing unique artistic talents from around the world to the public.
