WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th October, 2018) US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed ways of enhancing collaboration between their two countries, State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said in a readout of a phone call between the two officials on Wednesday.
"Secretary Michael R. Pompeo spoke today with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman," Nauert said, adding that the two "discussed areas for expanding US-Saudi collaboration."
Pompeo and the Saudi crown prince also discussed a range of regional and bilateral issues, including the threat that the Iranian regime poses to the region and the situation in Yemen, Nauert said.
The top US diplomat also thanked the crown prince for the kingdom's "continued, strong partnership" with the United States, the release said.
