Russia Registers 11 Truce Breaches in Syria Over Past 24 Hours - Defense Ministry

The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered 11 truce breaches over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has not recorded any ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 03rd October, 2018) The Russian side of the Russian-Turkish commission monitoring the implementation of the Syrian ceasefire has registered 11 truce breaches over the past 24 hours, while the Turkish side has not recorded any ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 11 cases of firing in the provinces of Aleppo (3) and Latakia (8). The Turkish side has registered no cases of ceasefire violation," the ministry's Center for Syrian Reconciliation said in its daily bulletin.

The center has held one humanitarian operation over the past 24 hours, delivering 300 food sets to Suemra settlement in the province of As Suwayda, according to the bulletin.

Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and terrorist organizations. Russia along with Turkey and Iran are guarantors of the ceasefire in Syria.
