MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 02nd October, 2018) EU economy and finance ministers will gather in Luxembourg on Tuesday to discuss the bloc's financial regulations and the fight against money laundering.
The Economic and Financial Affairs Council will hear a presentation by the European Commission on its proposals to "further strengthen the supervision of EU financial institutions" to tackle money laundering and terrorist financing.
The ministers will also discuss VAT taxation rules and fighting VAT fraud, and may make changes to the EU list of non-cooperative jurisdictions, which are non-EU states that the bloc considers to be not be doing enough to tackle tax evasion and avoidance issues.
