Ukrainian Police Use Tear Gas During Nationalists' Rally in Kiev

Two Ukrainian police officers were injured on Thursday in clashes with nationalists near the parliament building in Kiev, when the security forces used tear gas against protesters

KIEV (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th September, 2018) Two Ukrainian police officers were injured on Thursday in clashes with nationalists near the parliament building in Kiev, when the security forces used tear gas against protesters.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was making his annual address to the Ukrainian parliament on Thursday. Nationalists who were demanding simplification of procedure of granting the Ukrainian citizenship to foreigners tried to break through the police cordon and to get into the parliament building, which resulted in clashes, as broadcast by the UNN news agency.

At present, a large number of security officers were gathered to maintenance of order, after that the clashes stopped.
