On Monday, US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley accused Russia of "consistent" violations of the UN Security Council resolution on sanctions against Pyongyang which involve restrictions on supplies of fuel to North Korea and hiring North Korean workers.
"It is deeply regrettable that during the September presidency in the UN Security Council, the Americans stepped up their attempts to put under their control both the Council itself and its auxiliary bodies, including the 1718 Committee," the ministry said in a statement on its website.
