"There is a tv channel project, which is currently at an advanced stage of establishing its business in India," Bagla told reporters, adding that it would be a joint Russia-India channel.
The project will be implemented by a Russian company, Bagla noted, refusing to reveal the firm's name, citing confidentiality issues.
If the channel is created, it is expected to broadcast in both English and Russian, he added.
Invest India is a national investment promotion and facilitation agency that also includes the Russia Plus branch to promote Russian investments in India.
