He said that he is sorry to hurt Sharif family over Begum Kulsoom's illness.
Family sources confirmed that Begum Kulsoom has passed away in London.
Begum Kulsoom's dead body will be brought to Pakistan for burial.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and other political leaders have expressed grief over the sad demise of the former first lady.
Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s health had deteriorated today while she was undergoing cancer treatment in London.
Media reports said that Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was placed on life support again on Tuesday as her health began deteriorating.
Sources at Harley Street Clinic informed that Begum Kulsoom’s health began deteriorating last night as she has developed a lungs problem again.
She is in a critical phase and doctors have placed her back on ventilator, the sources added.
“She is also undergoing kidney dialysis,” they further said.
