MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th September, 2018) Incumbent Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin declared on Sunday his victory in the Russian capital's mayoral election.
According to the first data of the Russian Central Election Commission, Sobyanin is leading in the election with 68.77 percent of the vote. The commission has processed 0.21 percent of the ballots.
"The polling stations are closed. The votes are being counted. The exit polls data have been issued. Thank you for your support, my friends! That is our common victory," Sobyanin said in an address published on his website.
He also thanked volunteers, authorized delegates and members of his election headquarters.
