Syria, Abkhazia Sign 2 Cooperation Agreements - Reports

Syria and Abkhazia signed on Thursday two agreements on cooperation in a number of various fields, including economy and culture, local media reported.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th September, 2018) Syria and Abkhazia signed on Thursday two agreements on cooperation in a number of various fields, including economy and culture, local media reported.

According to the Syrian Arab news Agency (SANA), the first agreement provides for the establishment of a joint committee on cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, science, art and culture, while the second document relates to the facilitation and development of trade and economic cooperation between the countries.

The agreements were signed by Syrian Economy and Foreign Trade Minister Samer Khalil, Imad Sabuni, the head of the Syrian Planning and International Cooperation Commission and Abkhazian Foreign Minister Daur Kove and Economy Minister Adgur Ardzinba.

Earlier in the week, Syrian President Bashar Assad and Abkhazian leader Raul Khajimba signed a treaty of amity and cooperation in the Syrian capital of Damascus.
