Earlier in the day, the UK Crown Prosecution Service said that it had sufficient evidence to charge two Russian nationals, Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, in Salisbury poisoning attack.
"The actions of the GRU are a threat to all our allies and to all our citizens. And on the basis of what we have learned in the Salisbury investigation and what we know about this organization more broadly, we must now step up our collective efforts, specifically against the GRU ... Together with our allies, we will deploy the full range of tools from across our national security operators in order to counter the threat posed by the GRU," May told the UK Parliament.
