MOSCOW, (Pakistan Point News - 04th Sep, 2018) The Muslim Council of Elders is participating in the Moscow International Book Fair in the Russian Federation’s capital, Moscow, as part of the Abu Dhabi-based Council’s framework of spreading the goals on which it was founded by promoting peace and moderate Islamic values.

The Muslim Council of Elders’ presence at the Moscow International Book Fair comes as part of a series of participations at various international book fairs under the directives of the council’s Chairman, Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, who felt that events such as international book fairs and exhibitions are great gathering points involving people from many different nationalities as well as different religious and intellectual backgrounds and, in turn, are ideal venues to spread the council’s vision and Islam’s true moderate face.

The 31st Moscow International Book Fair will take place from 5th to 9th September and will host participants from 40 different countries with over 600 publishing and translating houses. More than 100,000 visitors are expected to visit the fair over its five-day duration.

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, said, "The Muslim Council of Elders’ participation at the Moscow International Book Fair came as a result of the fair’s place as a great meeting point for intellectuals from different nationalities, and religions, which will no doubt strengthen the council’s aim of spreading Islam’s true and moderate values through the publications on offer. The council also aims to meet some of the most prominent publishing and translating houses, which will take part at the festival to reach the largest possible number of readers around the world another strategic target for the council.

"We have a wide variety of publications on display at the Moscow International Book Fair including ‘The Clear Interpretations,’ a simplified interpretation of the Holy Quran, which also allows readers to understand Islam’s holy book in depth. We will also have a widely renowned publication titled, ‘Love in the Quran,’ which was written by Prince Ghazi bin Muhammed, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders. Likewise, there will also be a number of other publications that were part of the council’s recent participation in Cairo, Casablanca, Alexandria, London and Abu Dhabi.

"This current participation represents the commitment of His Eminence the Grand Imam and other members of the Muslim Council of Elders towards reaching the largest possible number of people and organisations to help and spread the vision and goals of the council. I invite all those interested in visiting the council’s stand at the Moscow International Book Fair to do so and to view the publications on display, as well as take part in other activities being held at the festival."
