MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 01st September, 2018) Several people, who have been detained on suspicions of perpetrating the attack on the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) leader Alexander Zakharchenko, admitted that the assassination had been "Ukrainian sabotage," DPR acting head Dmitry Trapeznikov said on Friday.
Zakharchenko was killed in a blast in downtown Donetsk earlier in the day. The DPR authorities said the attack was a terrorist act and blamed it on the Ukrainian Security Service which denied involvement.
"Up to now, all the borders have been closed and the testimonies of several detained people have confirmed that [the attack] was Ukrainian sabotage," Trapeznikov said.
