At least three people were killed and another three hospitalized after an explosion at Russia's Sverdlov defense plant, a local emergency services representative told Sputnik on Friday.

"It is known that three people were killed and three were hospitalized. The fate of three others is unknown, apparently, they remain under the debris," he said.
The fire that broke out after the blast is being extinguished by the fire brigade.
