US President Donald Trump on Thursday launched a fresh attack against Bruce Ohr, a Justice Department official with links to a controversial dossier that was prepared during the 2016 election, saying it was unbelievable that he has not yet been removed from his post.

"Wow, Nellie Ohr, Bruce Ohr's wife, is a Russia expert who is fluent in Russian. She worked for Fusion GPS where she was paid a lot. Collusion! Bruce was a boss at the Department of Justice and is, unbelievably, still there!" Trump said in a Twitter post.
Fusion GPS is the company that hired former British intelligence officer Michael Steele, who wrote the dossier, which contained unverified allegations that Trump participated in activities that could make him vulnerable to Russian blackmail attempts.
US media has reported that Ohr was an Associate Deputy Attorney General with the Justice Department (DOJ) until late 2017, then ran the department's Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces, and now has an unknown role at the DOJ. Nellie Ohr worked as a consultant for Fusion GPS to help with opposition research on Trump.
Trump has previously called for the DOJ to fire Ohr, saying in a statement on Wednesday, "How the hell is Bruce Ohr still employed at the Justice Department? Disgraceful! Witch Hunt!"
